ACPHIS PhD Medal

The ACPHIS PhD Medal is awarded annually for the best Australian PhD thesis in the discipline of Information Systems. Each submitted thesis is reviewed by the ACPHIS Doctoral Thesis Award Selection Committee, comprising of two leading Australian Information Systems researchers and the ACPHIS Doctoral Award Medal Convenor. The selected thesis must, in the opinion of the ACPHIS Doctoral Thesis Award Selection Committee, address an important issue in the Information Systems field, and exhibit the potential for a paper to be published in a high-quality journal. The medal along with a $2,000 cash prize is awarded by the ACPHIS Executive at the annual Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) conference.

Submission Guidelines

To be eligible for the competition of a particular year, theses must have been completed (i.e. passed requirements for graduation) in the period between July 1 of the previous year and June 30 of the award year. Submissions for the 2023 Medal close on Friday, 25th August 2023 (5pm, AEST).
